Take underwater movies and images without cumbersome housing; record sounds more clearly without muffling.* Includes underwater lens protector; mount it on the airtight body to get outstanding waterproof performance to a depth of 10 m — for up to one hour of continuous operation (equivalent to IPX8 or JIS Class 8).

*When the image size of 848 x 480 pixels (at 120 fps) is selected, sound cannot be recorded.

Enjoy true-to-life images thanks to the combination of approx. 14.0 effective MP and a CMOS image sensor with outstanding high-sensitivity and low-noise characteristics and high-speed data readout. While shooting still-images choose from four angle-of-view settings: Wide (160 degrees),* Medium,** Narrow** and Underwater. The WG-M1 also provides a high-speed continuous shooting mode to record a series of still images at an approximate speed of 10 fps.

*The angle of view may vary depending on the selected image size. The maximum angle of view in underwater still-image recording is approx. 97 degrees. **The medium and narrow settings are selectable only when image size of 10M or 14M is selected.

To perform camera functions from a distance just install a WG-M1-dedicated application in your smartphone or tablet computer. Our Wireless LAN connection lets you confirm the status of a subject or scene, release the shutter, and even check movie recordings in real-time. Browse and download your images and movies onto a smartphone or tablet computer for easy editing using the tools provided by the application. Then upload and share images to social media.

Capture high-quality, extended clips (1920 x 1080 pixels, 16:9 proportions) at 30 fps.* Digital shake reduction mode records flawless, blur-free movies in one of four angle-of-view settings — Wide (approx. 137 degrees),** Medium,*** Narrow*** and Underwater.

A suite of tools simplify complex recording techniques; “Motion detection” auto-starts recording a movie when the camera detects a moving object within the image field; “Loop recording” keeps recording movies while creating new files at 5- or 10-minute intervals; “High-speed Movie”**** records specifically for slow-motion playbacks; and “Time Lapse Movie” produces time-compressed movies using a time-lapse technique. Plus, a micro-HDMI terminal (type D) on the camera lets you simultaneously output movie clips and sound to external audio-visual devices.

*The maximum length of a single movie clip is 25 minutes. **The angle of view may vary depending on the selected image size. The maximum angle of view in underwater movie recording is approx. 90 degrees. ***The medium and narrow settings are selectable only when the image size of 1920 x 1080 pixels (at 30fps) is selected. ****The image size is fixed at 848 x 480 pixels (at 120fps), while the recording duration is fixed at 60 seconds.
